I had the pleasure of conducting a live interview on the Legal Marketing Association’s Northeast Facebook page with New York Local Group Chair Michelle Murray and LMA New York Programming co-chair Joseph Edmonds last night at the LMA New York kickoff event, which was designed to introduce members to local volunteer opportunities.

There are so many different ways to volunteer with the Legal Marketing Association – I have been involved on the local, regional and now the international level  as the co-chair of the Social Media and Digital Marketing SIG. It’s a great way to meet new people (which can lead to new jobs, speaking and writing opportunities and so much more), learn new things and build your personal brand. You can even microvolunteer – meaning get involved on a specific project, such as plan an event or write an article, if  you need a more flexible arrangement but you still want to be a part of a project.

I am thankful to the LMA for everything it has offered to me through the years – from lifelong friends to job opportunities to professional growth – and I enjoy giving back to the community through my volunteer work and speaking at various LMA conferences.

Please feel free to reach out to me or someone you know to learn more about how you can get involved.
