It’s Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day this Sunday.

This is my niece Emmie and me. I feel like I have a huge responsibility to help teach and guide her into becoming the best version of herself through the years with her parents. She’s the closest thing I have to a child of my own and at my age it may not be possible for me.

I want her to grow up to be confident, kind, loving, curious and grateful and to support other women. But most of all I want her to grow up feeling like she can truly be herself and those around her will love her unconditionally and encourage her to pursue her dreams and stay true to who she is.

If you’ve ever been told you’re “too” something or you don’t always fit in, you know what if feels like to not be able to be yourself. As women we need to stand up for ourselves and future generations and encourage each other and be authentic and good, kind people. And say no to mean girl behavior. We need to eradicate mean girl behavior at every age group.

Never stop being you. I hope Emmie will do the same 💕
