Here’s a list of some of the things I’ve stopped doing (or at least I’m working on not doing) in order to grow and become a better version of me:
- Overthinking
- Self-sabotaging
- Overextending myself
- Saying yes when I want to say no
- Procrastinating
- Getting in my own way
- Surrounding myself with people who don’t support or treat me well
- Negative self-talk
- Doing things that don’t make me feel good
- Making excuses for people who let me down
- Beating myself up for not finishing my to-do list
- Not trying to tell everyone my side of a particular story
- Not gossiping about people anymore
- Having fewer but more genuine friendships
- Realizing I won’t fit in my skinniest jeans again and loving my body just the way it is now
- Not choosing people who don’t choose me – if you don’t want to be in my life, that’s okay
- Trying to make sense of things that don’t make sense
- Worrying too much about the future and instead just focusing on being happy in the here and now
And wow does it feel good 🙂
