There’s an upside to the quarantine if you flip the script.

Be thankful for the slow moving minutes, the time at home with your family and pets, the creative space to think more and develop new ideas, the room to write, read and listen to podcasts, the opportunity to reconnect with friends and extended family via FaceTime and Zoom – I think many of us were relying on text and email way too much prior to the stay-at-home orders.

Remember we are physically distancing but not social (media) distancing. I feel closer to many people in my life right now because I’m not immersed in the hustle and bustle of my prior routine. I now take the time to reconnect with colleagues, former colleagues and loved ones.

Use this time as an opportunity to strengthen your personal and professional relationships. Think of this period as a wake up call and a gift.

I’m choosing more gratitude and less grumbling – how about you?

We’re all in this together.
