In this new normal of staying home and social distancing, I’m finding that I need to limit how much news I read and watch to maintain balance in my life. I’m trying to find a healthy dose of daily news consumption.
In our new normal of today, stay inside, stay safe, stay calm and stay away from too much news. I only check the headlines once a day on my phone and watch the evening news. That’s enough for me – otherwise it’s negative information overload.
I’m finding writing, reading, watching non-news TV (Tiger King anyone?), FaceTiming with friends and family and virtual workouts to be healthy outlets for me when I’m feeling overwhelmed and stressed, which is often lately. Does anyone feel the same? Remember we are all in this together.
