Trish Lilley is truly a woman who wows. She is the Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer at Stroock, Stroock & Lavan in New York City, a wife and mother, and an active volunteer for the Legal Marketing Association. I really don’t know how she does it all – and does it so well.

She is also a great advocate for women in the profession, is an innovator in our field and is someone who will lend an ear and give great advice whenever you need it.

I’ve known Trish for many years through our work in the LMA. She has pushed me to be a better version of myself and talked me off many ledges. I am grateful to her for always believing in me, and I know others feel the same way about her.

I’ve known Liz Sobe for years and served on a Legal Marketing Association board with her. While on that board she said something to me that has become one of my guiding principles in life – “assume good intent.” Such wise words from a wise woman!

She is also responsible for internal communications and is an active member of the firm’s Business Continuity Committee, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Innovation Hive™.

Lindsey is a longtime director of the Legal Marketing Association, Canada Region. She is the co-creator of LMANext, a program supporting the next generation of legal marketers. Before joining Lenczner Slaght, Lindsey worked for nearly a decade at one of Canada’s largest law firms.

Leslie Valenza is a communications professional with 15 years of legal marketing experience. As a vice president at Poston Communications, she manages the development of a range of knowledge-based content for law firm and other professional services clients, from awards submissions to blog posts and bylined articles, to website copy and video scripts, along with other digital media materials.

Before joining Poston Communications, she worked for nearly 10 years at an Am Law 100 firm where she collaborated with leaders to elevate the firm’s brand in key markets and industries as the manager of media relations.

Prior to that role, Leslie worked at a strategic communications firm.

Leslie is a member of the Legal Marketing Association’s Mid-Atlantic Region Newsletter Committee. She has volunteered for a range of nonprofit organizations, including the American Cancer Society, RaiseAChild and the Los Angeles Diversity Film Festival, for which she led the organization’s first East Coast event.

She lives in Richmond, Virginia, with her husband and daughters.

The next Woman Who Wows is Betsi Roach, who I have known for many years when she was the executive director of the Legal Marketing Association. Betsi led the LMA with grace, collaboration and humility.

She understood members’ unique challenges, developing policy and advocacy campaigns to address these challenges, and worked with volunteers to create educational programs and content to meet member needs

Betsi is now the executive director of CLOC (Corporate Legal Operations Consortium), the world’s leading association for legal operations professionals.
